This is a story about 里 and Li.
You might think of them as the Big Li and the Little Li—that’s what they call themselves when things are…good.
When they’re in harmony, it’s as if they share the same heartbeat. But when their tempers shift, they tear into each other…two halves of the same soul wrestling to be heard.
They’re both in their thirties now. The Big Li and the Little Li.
For as long as they can remember, Frida Kahlo has been their muse. In their own ways, they’re trying to figure out what it means to be a woman, and what it means to be an artist.
At times she looks inward, at times she looks to Frida, hoping that through that gaze, she might find herself.
